Hey all. I'm looking for your favourite games that were made in Godot that are available to play on Steam or itch.io (or other??)

I'm already familiar with such bangers as Dome Keeper and Sapo 3D. What else do you suggest? I'm open to your own games/self promo, or any others you are aware of.

Cassette Beasts is an absolutely amazing Pokémon-like, and features couch coöp.

[–] Dagnet@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Don't forget to mention the amazing soundtrack

[–] IcyToes@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 week ago

It's so good! Great game.

[–] Nemo@slrpnk.net 2 points 1 week ago

There are live versions of some tracks that are, if anything, even better.

There is the Godot showcase where a list games made in godot. I didn't expect Brotato to be there. I have played City Game Studio as it is an expanded version of Game Dev Tycoon.

Brotato, Cassette Beasts, and Buckshot Roulette are probably the biggest games.

[–] DonPiano@feddit.org 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Be careful with Brotato, you'll not stop playing it

[–] msage@programming.dev 1 points 1 week ago

I tried it, after Vampire survivors, and it was meh

Brotato gets boring after 30min though

Luck Be A Landlord, Lumencraft and Halls Of Torment are awesome!

[–] Questy@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

I second Halls of Torment, also check out ∆V Rings of Saturn.

Bloodthief slaps so incredibly hard and has a big free demo. Definitely try it out. If you liked neon white or any other "speedrunning simulator" games definitely give it a look!

This has been on my wishlist for a while after finding Blargis' Youtube channel. Looks amazing.

ΔV: Rings of Saturn is a very nice, chill space game.

[–] Blaster_M@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

Yes, the most science'd game of Asteroids you will ever play.

I can recommend Halls of Torment if you like games similar to Vampire Survivors, it has more of a Diablo feel and there are "secrets" on the map that can help you with the boss.

+1 for Halls of Torment.

Cruelty Quad is the best worst looking game. It features a... very unique artstyle but has actually great Spy/infilitration gameplay with well thought out maps with multiple ways to complete the missions.

[–] FizzyOrange@programming.dev 2 points 1 week ago

Wow yeah that looks awful. Great reviews though.

[–] dinckelman@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

Completely unironically one of my all-time favorite games. I wish more people gave it a chance

It’s not out yet, but PVKK looks like it’s going to be fantastic fun. I spoke to some of the team at Gamescom last year and they confirmed it’s made in Godot.

Theres a YT channel for that (not on Peertube afaik, unfortunately):

Beat Invaders is a really fun shmup, highly recommended.

Firstly, you can follow this Steam curator for more games made in Godot.

Secondly, I think my all time favorite Godot game that I haven't seen mentioned yet is Dome Keeper. They also recently announced that multiplayer is coming in a soon-to-be-released free update.

[–] Midnitte@beehaw.org 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

There's a list here, but Dome Keeper is pretty great, and just added multiplayer.

[–] Midnitte@beehaw.org 2 points 1 week ago

Don't think it was on the list, but also Unrailed 2 - good coop game

[–] FrodoSpark@piefed.social 2 points 1 week ago

Doomsday Paradise is a rogue like dating simulator, and has a nice couch co op mode

[–] RichardDegenne@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 week ago

Cruelty Squad and Psycho Patrol R come to mind.

[–] dr_yeti@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

If you're a fan of classic mega man, Rock n roll is absolutely amazing.

[–] ViscloReader@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

Ballionnaire was made in godot

[–] BoastfulDaedra@lemmynsfw.com 2 points 1 week ago

Drift: Space Survival. It's like Raft in outer space. Total banger.
