This is such obviously corrupt behavior. I still have no idea why anyone is still playing along with it. The world needs to be unified in its rejection of everything Trump represents.

It's incredible how much of fucking every bad thing that has links back to the Kremlin.
It's the same reason most of the political class give in to corruption. Money. He's just doing what oligarchs do domestically on an international scale.
Money is also why most people refuse to strike, or do anything that might rock the boat. We're all so pampered we have abandoned all the morals and ethics we virtue signal for selfish, temporary comfort.

It might have just been the whiplash from a Bush Admin to Obama, but he was very quickly making a lot of friends in the Middle East.
By 8 months in he had already begun a slow strategic withdrawal from Iraq and helped negotiate disarmament with Iran, alongside 6 other nations who wished for Iran disarmament. Although after Obama received his prize Iran talked about producing more enriched Uranium again in November and the Nuclear Disarmament deal wasn't signed until 2015.
The fact that Trump dismantled the treaty just goes to show, again, that it's not something anyone could do.
He's still comedy gold for Putin, as more other countries become alienated by the West.
