I'm not buying until it's 5-fold.

What bothers me is that tri-fold phones only have two folds.

Now I don't know how many screens you're gonna have on your 5-fold screen.

This is so silly lol. I love it, give me more weird phones

Some people laugh at this sort of thing as ridiculous and I get it but...

Isn't it exciting that people are trying to be innovative and different? Phones of the early to mid 2000s were often pretty visually and functionally distinct from one another. But since like the 2010s every phone turned into the same boring (but very functional) rectangle. Give me some spice and newness! Be kooky and weird!

I agree too, when I was in high school in the 2000s phones were an expression of our personality. There were lots of different models, colours and form factors, but these days everyone has the same gigantic slab. Usually some boring colour, partially or fully hidden by a boring case because phones are now made out of glass (lol).

Exactly! I want to be able to tell what kind of phone someone has from across the room. I want the act of getting a new phone to be exciting rather than the current short ritual of spending 5 minutes comparing cameras and then getting bored

I'm not getting one of those until I can fold it into a swan

The one folding phone I had ended up with a damaged hinge because I left it partially folded in a hot car for a couple of hours. That put me off buying another one any time soon. It's an issue I wouldn't have had with a normal phone.

I've wanted a tri-fold phone ever since I watched Westworld, but I still can't help but feel that the time isn't quite right.
