The 42-page suit points to a raft of sexually explicit “experiences” that have been on the platform, including “Escape to Epstein Island,” “Diddy Party” and “Public Bathroom Simulator Vibe,”

Imagine having access to those types of games at the age of 9, oh how the times have changed.

I think my favorite part of the reponse is the repeated insistence on "robust, industry-leading policy" while providing exactly precisely no hard data, no statistics, not even a suggestion that they're tracking the effectiveness of the policies, merely that they "contribute substantial resources" to moderation. How often do you have cause to exercise this policy? Precisely how many pedophiles do you ban in a year? Perhaps 'favorite' wasn't the best choice of words actually.

edit: How could anyone else confirm your report; to whom are you accountable in this reporting?

Sounds like the Louisiana State Attorney General’s Roblox account got banned recently.

Based on what's been happening, this would imply the Louisiana AG was an active vigilante or investigator within Roblox.

It used to be, now Discord is a better spot. Especially after they removed the numbers after the name.

But something should be done about Roblox.

Hum, why does the removal of numbers matter? Is it to do with impersonating other users?

Easier for a kid to keep their name and change the numbers if they are being stalked/harassed than to get them to change their entire name

[–] ganryuu@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 day ago

Oh that makes sense, thanks.

if parents are letting their kids use discord, that's the bigger issue, imo

They misspelled Republican Party

Getting the PR out before the case is heard. Sounds like they don't like their chances.
