Breadtube if it didn't suck.

Post videos you genuinely enjoy and want to share, duh. Celebrate the diversity of interests shared by chapochatters by posting a deep dive into Venetian kelp farming, I dunno. Also media criticism, bite-sized versions of left-wing theory, all the stuff you expected. But I am curious about that kelp farming thing now that you mentioned it.

Low effort / spam videos might be removed, especially weeb content.

There is a cytube that you can paste videos into and watch with whoever happens to be around. It's open submission unless there's something important to commandeer it with at the time.

A weekly watch party happens every Saturday (Sunday down under), with video nominations Saturday-Monday, voting Monday-Thursday. See the pin for whatever stage it's currently in.

I was in Fallujah and they killed American soldiers, lynched them. But we still made an effort to get aid to those people in Fallujah

Why was aid needed in Fallujah Elissa, why did they NEED THE FUCKING AID!?!?! Who as besieging the city, no the COUNTRY?!

Vets are the most reprehensible shits

IIRC she's not just a vet, she's fucking CIA.

[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 37 points 2 months ago

Middle East analyst for the CIA.

I was screaming at my monitor that this lady should be in the Hague, not a talk show, when she said that bit.

You know what the US also gave Fallujah in addition to that aid, EliSSa? The highest rates of birth defects in the world, on account of all the depleted uranium rounds used on the people there.

This woman is definitely going to run for president and do so on nothing but Kamala’s “most lethal military in the world” comment and football metaphors.

It’s easy to bite the hand that feeds when the other hand is beating you.

I actually stopped watching when she mentioned that she was in Fallujah because I was so angry, then I went back and finished the video when I saw the comments about it here. If I say anything else about what I think of this person, I will be arrested.

@17:54 Krystal starts reading a laundry list of despicable items on Slotkin's voting record directly to her face, and the senator sits there—like a professional politician and spy—and takes it, all while maintaining a perfect poker face with that neutral "I'm here, and I hear you" expression.

Then Krystal says:

You voted as a member of the House to sanction the ICC for indicting Benjamin Netanyahu—who you just admitted is a war criminal!

And she breaks! sicko-yes She looks down in shame and sighs. She knows that's inconsistent and indefensible!

It ain't much, but it's satisfying to watch them squirm in shame. stalin-feels-good

And she breaks!...She looks down in shame and sighs.

I think that gives her too much credit. From my perspective she just looked like she did for most of the interview which is stony faced. Remember, these ghouls don't feel emotions like shame or guilt like you or I do, they just imitate them with varying degrees of success. They don't invite normal people into the CIA after all.

[–] FuckyWucky@hexbear.net 41 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Wild that she went on breaking points what was she thinking

[–] Llituro@hexbear.net 51 points 2 months ago (1 children)

her team is stupid and stupid democrats right now are convinced zohran won the primary for nyc mayor because "social media"

[–] jack@hexbear.net 32 points 2 months ago (1 children)

This will definitely teach them the right lesson

[–] Llituro@hexbear.net 32 points 2 months ago

worry not, there is no lesson too simple to not bounce off their heads.

@19:38 when the senator is defending her vote for the Iron Dome.

Slotkin: There is a difference between a weapon to protect a country from incoming missiles vs. other—offensive and defensive weapons are different.

I rolled my eyes and thought "yeah, right—like she would support defensive weapons for Russia (but they won't say that)".

But Krystal read my fucking mind!

Krystal: I also reject that because, for example, if, Senator Slotkin, you were asked to support defensive weapons for Iran, defensive weapons for Russia, you wouldn't back that! monke-ruserious

Slotkin: No, but... Iran... I mean... but... morshupls

Krystal: They're defensive! They're just protecting civilians, right? How is it different? tito-laugh

Slotkin: Because israel is being shot at! kitty-cri-screm

Krystal & Sagaar (together): So is Iran! So is Russia! ligma-1 ligma-2

Why isn't this the standard line of questioning all lib journalists do?

[–] Belly_Beanis@hexbear.net 28 points 2 months ago

lib journalists

You're asking questions about the shirt answered by the shirt.

[–] D61@hexbear.net 20 points 2 months ago

The purpose of "defensive" and "less than leathal" weapons is to permit the use of violence with impunity.

[–] kotak_doost@hexbear.net 16 points 2 months ago

Also defensive weapons can be used offensively and vice versa.

If Iran didn't have "offensive" missiles to launch at Israel they would have got hit much harder and lost more lives, so it's in a defensive capacity. Israel having "defensive" air defence means they can be much more belligerent as they'll have fewer consequences for their actions.

[–] SevenSkalls@hexbear.net 6 points 2 months ago

Guessing she's not coming back and a poor staffer who scheduled this has to pack up their desk.

[–] CliffordBigRedDog@hexbear.net 24 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Like ur a senator you should have at least heard about your colleagues in the House lol

[–] Le_Wokisme@hexbear.net 19 points 2 months ago (1 children)

there's over 400 of those losers

[–] CliffordBigRedDog@hexbear.net 8 points 2 months ago

idk if ur gonna paid 6 figures and have all sorts of expenses and cutbacks you better learn all the names of all these losers

i know who randy fine is, so there no excuse for someone in the US senate

[–] anotherspinelessdem@lemmy.ml 16 points 2 months ago

This is the most amazing interview of a US politician I've ever seen or even heard of, and the most accountable a US politician OR "ex"-CIA official has ever been held.

[–] TheLepidopterists@hexbear.net 11 points 2 months ago

God it felt so good to see someone hammer one of these ghouls on their filthy weasel words.

Why wouldn't you use the word genocide?

[–] newacctidk@hexbear.net 9 points 2 months ago

Breaking Points has its issues, I don't watch it regularly. But damn that was cathartic. Krystal absolutely dragged Slotkin's ass and never let up for a moment. This is why "objective" journalism and non-partisan journalism is so weak, it needs to keep getting access, so it will never have this kind of accountability
