And the police wonder why people don't respect them and say things like "All Coppers Are Bastards".

My last few interactions with the police in Notts have been pretty dumb.

My neighbour was screaming some horrible things to a kid like "you're a cunt" and "you don't deserve to be in my care". I called 111 because I didn't think there was any violence happening but I was worried about the kid and the way they were being treated and said if you need to talk to me, they could ring. They sent out a car, was there for maybe 10 mins then rang me back and said it was fine they were "having an argument about something else", whatever that means. Then I was called an hour later and was told I'd asked to speak to someone. I've no idea where that came from, I didn't, I said they could speak to me if they need to multiple times on the call, unsure how that translated to me wanting to speak to someone higher up.

Time before that, they were out to investigate an argument between two 15 year olds at a local school, they sent out two cars and blocked both my driveway and my neighbours for over 2 hours, and refused to move their cars, even though there was plenty of space that wasn't blocking drive ways, and they spent most of that time stood in front of their cars doing naff all.

The time before that I was punched in the face by some addict being a dickhead, I reported the assault, they called me 3 times to ask me where it happened, I gave street names, they said they couldn't find it and asked if I had any CCTV evidence. I asked if I could send them a link to Google maps as they can't find it and was told they're "not allowed to use Google maps". Why I have to do the investigation for them I don't know.

Notts police are fucking useless unless they're protecting the racist mobs that travel here to march. They also brag on Facebook about busting people for cannabis.

I was abused by a group of South Wales Police officers in broad daylight after being unable to walk nor even talk (let alone move much at all).
They magically "do not have any recorded footage of that day". Their cameras are useless when they can just claim "oh there must have been a technical error".

Terrible folks up and down the place, it seems.

I grew up in support of the police, then I grew up.

He was then taken to a police station and questioned. “They started asking questions, like if I was autistic or anything like that, asking me whether I’d ever been in the army, whether I told people I was in the army,” he said.

What the fuck is going on anymore. Dude can't even bring his gardening tools home without some Karen calling the cops on him, then the treatment by the cops is absolutely absurd. What the fuck are they even insinuating? Then they wouldn't even listen to the answers he gave and seemed to have basic comprehension issues.

The world will be a better place when we're gone 🥂

That last sentence bundles all of the best of humanity with the worst of humanity into one.

We can co-exist with the Earth. A small minority unfortunately dictate what we can and cannot do. That does not negate the majority who are, on the whole, not complete assholes bent on bending others to their will

I have a hori hori knife and a Japanese garden sickle. Both can only be mistaken for weapons if you are the kind of person who thinks everyone is a criminal

Is that a combo knife and shovel?

It has a serrated edge for cutting through stems or roots. Mine has a ruler etched into it to measure depth, the brand he had is more simple and elegant tbh

Edit: it's hard to tell from that picture, but it is angled for scooping dirt

Pretty cool! Thanks.

Hope he sues the fuck out of them.

"That's not a gardening tool", says the oppressors tool.

Wait so the police arrested him for hours and stole his gardening tools even though he could reasonably prove he was gardening?

And he now has a caution on record?!

Wtaf

The fact the officers didn't even know what a fucking allotment was is fucking baffling

This sounds like a cut and dry lawsuit honestly. Illegal detainment if nothing else. Especially now having a warning on perment record when no crime was committed?

Lawyers should be lining up around the block for this guy.

Sounds plausible. I knew someone once who was arrested by Greater Manchester Police for "going equipped for burglary" because he had a pair of black jogging bottoms and a black t-shirt in a bag. He was on his way home from the gym.
