How can any American feel secure when a single hospital visit can ruin their lives.

As someone who suffers from a pretty serious medical condition I have to visit the hospital quite regularly, and I often wonder how fucked my life would be if I had to pay potentially hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical bills... I'd be broke and possibly dead by now.

Medical care should be a human right, not a bill.

That’s the neat part, we don’t.

It gives employers a tremendous amount of leverage to have the power over your health insurance.

You have broken your arm sir, but having one health crisis in the United States led you to be fucked in the ass. Currently, your best option is to hope that a celebrity will buy your medical debt. You shouldn't have called an ambulance.
