The article mentions a reduction of episodes but says nothing about an increase in quality
I have 2 thoughts on the subject.
- The last season actually did have an uptick in quality. The Treehouse of Horror was legitimately excellent.
- I don't think Julie Kavner's voice can make it 4 more seasons. It's very sad to say, but her voice has clearly suffered from doing Marge all these years.
Yep my immediate thought was "let it die already"
If they were going to learn from their mistakes and make the show funnier again, their opportunity was to do so with season 10.
I mean this is probably just budgeting.
If they are adamant on continuing the show though. Why not majorly reduce it to like 5 episodes a year, and actually make them good again, get good writers, not the current corpo-simps, etc.
The Simpsons is still being made?
Just got renewed for 4 more seasons iirc about a month or so ago
Current season is pretty good. Best Simpsons in many years
Fucking let it go. Shit’s been on TV for like 35 years or smth.
Oh good time for the dead horse beaters who haven't watched the show in 20 years to comment on how un funny it is.
36 seasons and I'm the dead horse beater?
Sounds like slight cost cutting, which is fine.
Most episodes this past season were great, but obviously you have a few filler episodes that were just ok, which really just means you have an idea that didn't work.
Full steam ahead I say!
If they’re going to follow the streaming model, they’ll also have to wait two years between seasons.
