As tensions escalate between California and the Trump administration over immigration, another potential battlefront is emerging over taxes.

The spat began with reports that the Trump administration is considering cutting funding for California's university system, the largest higher education system in the nation with about 12% of all U.S. enrolled students.

In response, Gov. Gavin Newsom wrote Friday afternoon in a social media post that California provides about $80 billion more in taxes to the federal government than it receives in return.

"Maybe it's time to cut that off, @realDonaldTrump," Newsom said.

If all democrat states stopped providing more taxes than they receive, the republican states would instantly start suffering. Look up the amounts each state provides and receives, then find the pattern.

Unfortunately, this would result in many innocent people suffering as well, as much as I would like to see it happen.

When needs and comfort are challenged, people are forced to act. Currently, people are being kidnapped, politics are riddled with corruption, and there's rampant corporate brainwashing. We need people to break outside there 8-5 work days and demand change before it's too late.

This is to say that Republicans are sheltered in their rural country lives living on hand outs through assistance they couldn't even begin to comprehend. This is a step in shifting the focus towards the class war.

Instead of 51 states, that country will end up with 49 or less.

I mean, ever since they gutted the DoE I've been thinking why we're even paying taxes. Obviously lots of other reasons to boycott, but DoE paid my education research and I know people who were laid off, so it's personal.

I switched from W2 to 1099 at some jobs and am not paying quarterly (or when I file).

For the remaining W2 jobs, I set my allowances to something like 20 so I'm paying as little as possible.

The first year I did this, I filed for a cheap monthly payment plan to make it up. Since then...it just keeps racking up. They'll never get it all.

That sounds like a justified idea, but legally doesn't that basically require seceding?

Seceding, not necessarily.

An actual act of rebellion, yes.

Maybe it's time Newsom Corporation does less talking about what he might do & submit articles of secession. Then he can prove this version of himself he claims to be isn't the cryptid we all know it is.
