I always did particularly like chocolate, but it just goes to show, doesn't it?

this has to be one of the most pointlessly gendered things I've ever heard :/

I usually prefer nitrogen, you might be on to something.

It's a (false) trope. Of course lots of people like chocolate; I'm just playing to the stereotype.

it is? 😭 i never heard of it. sounds like one of the weird things they'd say in the US so- is this a US thing?

All over the English speaking world at least, I think? It certainly was a thing when I was young, but maybe not so much these days. TV Tropes has a page on it.

I don't remember that being a thing ever. I remember at one point people would talk about chocolate being amazing but I never heard it being specific to girls. Actually my family used to make chocolate deserts a lot and I ended up getting very sick of it. I'll eat white chocolate but if given the option between something that has dark or milk chocolate and something that doesn't have chocolate I'll choose the thing without chocolate.

huh! interesting! i guess i just missed that then. i remember some references to feminine characters liking chocolate a lot in cartoons but never to a point where i'd think it's a whole stereotype

As a fellow chocosexual, I invite you to my monthly chocolate love fest

Fair warning, this involves stripping down, leaping into a vat of chocolate, eating our way to the other side, then repeating the other direction.

I mean, in fairness, you don't have to strip down, but it's cheaper than a wetsuit, and you can absorb some of the chocolate by osmosis, while reveling in all that cocoa goodness all over your body.

However, this is a fully BYOM event (bring your own milk).

And yes, I am high on chocolate as I write this.

I love dark chocolate >:3

I don't really like chocolate much. I'll eat white chocolate, but milk chocolate and especially dark chocolate is kinda gross to me.
