Oh boy, another reason to hate Spotify.
- platform racists
- pay racists for exclusive rights to platform
- remove songs requested taken down by authoritarian governments because it's important to them they do business in those countries (apparently)
- leave "heil hitler" up despite it being an obvious problem "because it's not their place to censor art" (see prior point)
- use algorithms to push down challenging and importart art and promote unchallenging consumable music, or worse right wing propaganda
- the media bubbles regardless of what's in the bubbles isolate us
- don't pay artists what their music is worth even though what we pay for is access to the music the artists make
- this ai bullshit

god. yeah. that's a good point. i tend to blame amazon more for that shit, but a podcast should just be an rss feed with audio files, goddammit

As if the youtuber get rick quick scheme of ai generating remixes and puttting them on Spotify wasn't dumb enough.
I have no problem with music that is / has AI generation. I have a problem (and always have had a problem) with people that are straight up counterfeiting legit pieces with these legally distinct AI remixes.
