Watching DeSantis try to pin Trump down on social issues is like watching a young earth creationist argue with a flat Earther.

They're both divorced from reality but the creationist is trying to establish a religious case based on their religious 'reality'. The flat Earther has no ties to any reality whatsoever, they don't even have to prove anything to themselves or their faith. They can say whatever the hell they want and dismiss anything they want.

Trump can just say something like 'I love the gays, I just don't agree with homosexuality' and his supporters will hear whatever dog whistle they want to hear from that and DeSantis shrieking otherwise will just make them call him a 'never-Trumper'.

As much as Trump disgusts me I actually enjoy watching DeSantis frantically fail to understand and emulate Trumps popularity with his base.

No sports or pageants. Transwomen should not be muscular and athletic nor pageant pretty. What are these people supposed to do and who decides?

I think people are reading your comment as a statement and not a question. But yes, they're people. They need to do things to be happy. We can't keep putting up all these walls every where and calling it freedom. If this place is truly all about freedom we should be free to choose our gender without artificial consequences.

According to bigots, they need to stop existing.

I want to ask these people "What in your life would be measurably better if there are no longer people who are trans?" I just don't get the obsession and hate.

They always justify it with conspiracy theories about how the chosen minority victim is secretly trying to harm them. "Think of the children" is an especially popular tactic.

It's an addiction. Bigots experience a rush when they get to express their hatred. Sure, nothing would be measurably better for them without trans people, but people with that particular addiction will feel worse anyway, until they identify a new target for hate.

Yeah, that ad was just ultra odd. I mean completely homophobic and shitty and yet raises a bunch of eyebrows since the bulk of the ad is basically DeSantis being sandwiched between male beefcakes.
