The deadline change?? He's way past that. Pre-election he told us he'd solve it in under a day. Of course he said he'd bring grocery prices down too, but his sheep don't seem to care that prices have gone up.

[–] altphoto@lemmy.today 2 points 1 hour ago

Hold on, he's trying to poop.

I challenge you all to never mention him ever again or show his photos. Just say what he's doing and creatively describe who he is.

[–] corsicanguppy@lemmy.ca 3 points 2 hours ago

Which one has he denied?

According to a recent post, he made that statement - and in many cases used it to prop up his own self-assessed effectiveness - 53 times.

I think it's number 41. That one seemed insincere and flippant.

I give him 24 hours. If he can’t do it he’s not a good president, some might even say the worst president they’ve ever heard of.

Ok hear me out: how about he makes MrBeast the ambassador to Russia, that’ll fix it

[–] futatorius@lemm.ee 5 points 5 hours ago

Not even a concept of a deadline?

[–] Gammelfisch@lemmy.world 1 points 5 hours ago

The rest of the 1st World is smart enough to ignore his dumbass.

[–] msage@programming.dev 39 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I don't think there is a reason for this specific article to exist.

He's doing so much worse things, and we all know he's WAY past his deadlines.

And he never meant a single word.

Except when he said "If she wasn't my daughter".

Except when he said "If she wasn't my daughter".

I think this comment will age like raw milk when in 10 years Ivanka publishes her memories and shows he didn't really care she was his daughter.

Pls delete this right now, I don't want that image in my head, thx

From making jokes about ending war in 24hrs to now no deadline.

[–] ExtremeDullard@lemmy.sdf.org 33 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (3 children)

Indeed it was a joke apparently. The magats who voted for Trump have no humor and didn't get the joke...

[–] Tinidril@midwest.social 50 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It's just a common rhetorical tool used by fascists. If people don't know when you are telling the truth and when you are "joking" you can say whatever you want and then judge public reaction before deciding whether or not to own what you said.

[–] dzso@lemmy.world 15 points 1 day ago

Common tactic for misogynists and nazis too. If the shit you say is poorly received, "it was a joke", if no one objects it was dead serious.

[–] futatorius@lemm.ee 6 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Trump has no sense of humor. His idea of a joke is mocking a disabled person.

[–] DarkDarkHouse@lemmy.sdf.org 4 points 1 day ago

Has anyone ever seen him properly laugh?

[–] vxx@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

It wasnt a joke. He repeated it multiple times.

[–] Raiderkev@lemmy.world 21 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I thought if I just yelled at Zelensky for 20 minutes in the oval office, he'd agree with me and take my side

[–] futatorius@lemm.ee 11 points 1 day ago

I thought

Never happened.

[–] Xanthobilly@lemmy.world 18 points 1 day ago

He’s the fucking joke.

[–] wirebeads@lemmy.ca 14 points 1 day ago

Trump deserves to be face down in the dirt.

[–] Drusas@fedia.io 52 points 1 day ago (1 children)

He's such a loser trying to look like a tough guy.

[–] Lucidlethargy@sh.itjust.works 7 points 1 day ago (2 children)

He's trying to look smart more than tough... And at this stage even his fans are starting to realize he's an idiot.

[–] InvertedParallax@lemm.ee 9 points 1 day ago

His fans all never finished school, they still think he's a stable genius.

[–] OutlierBlue@lemmy.ca 6 points 1 day ago

And at this stage even his fans are starting to realize he’s an idiot.

No they aren't.

Trump, pictured here, giving imaginary hand-jobs to Putin and Musk at the same time.

[–] futatorius@lemm.ee 2 points 1 day ago

The strokes are much too long in that case.

[–] decapitae@sh.itjust.works 17 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Yet some are still to proud to acknowledge the truth, too eager to maintain their ignorance or unwilling to see what their friends and family that they mocked or belittled were trying to provide warning about. This is on the supporters of this ruse of a leader. This is on those who are 'just following ordrers'. This is on the rest of us to clean up if it goes any further.

[–] Dagwood222@lemm.ee 7 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Trump was correct. He was stabbed in the back by the 'woke' Deep State and the media. Biden and Harris destroyed America rather than let Trump lead us to greatness.

No /s, because that's the explanation you'll get.

[–] decapitae@sh.itjust.works 9 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Trump would stab himself in the back in full view of all his constituents and try to blame it on all the people he's trying to punish for not bending a knee to him. Sadly, it would work.

[–] MonkeMischief@lemmy.today 2 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Imagine that guy being able to reach his own back lol.

[–] Skiluros@sh.itjust.works 8 points 1 day ago

Corrupt American oligarch thinks he can deal with incredibly complex issues just because he's been able to run scams in the US for a few decade (a country which is arguably one of the most friendly places for oligarchs in the world, some smaller exceptions notwithstanding).

[–] atzanteol@sh.itjust.works 8 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I see he's shifting from "it's so easy I can do it in a day" to "it's impossible and will be a monumental achievement if I can do it".

[–] lettruthout@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

“Who knew it would be so hard to…”
