you can't judge a man based on his political opinions

Yes you can.

Also you can really tell when someone isn't personally impacted by "politics" at all. Clearly not his rights up for debate.

you can't judge a man based on his political opinions

Yes you can.

I would argue it's one of the more important things about a person

[–] DragonBallZinn@hexbear.net 23 points 2 months ago

But hot damn do they vehemently act like white men’s rights are what’s up for debate whenever they catch whiff that the game dev might NOT be a Republican.

The internet crashed the fuck out hard when Wolfenstein dared to criticize the internet’s only group that’s above criticism, let alone mockery: nazis.

[–] buh@hexbear.net 13 points 2 months ago

you just know that conservatives who say that shit absolutely judge people by their politics if they're vaguely left leaning

i know hypocrisy criticisms are pointless, but it still fucking annoys me

you can't judge a man based on his political opinions

It is always people who have vile and reprehensible political opinions who thinks that.

Is it a slow content day Hexbear?

[–] abc@hexbear.net 20 points 2 months ago (2 children)

lmao honestly why are we posting about FNAF HOW OLD ARE YOU PEOPLE

[–] prole@hexbear.net 2 points 2 months ago

The first game came out over a decade ago?

I mean, it would be one thing if we learned that the FNAF creator was a bigot recently. But this has been known for years.

[–] Feinsteins_Ghost@hexbear.net 2 points 2 months ago

Run out of stuff on reddit to talk about i reckon.

you need to respect this man's choice to donate money to people who want to remove other peoples choices

[–] BeamBrain@hexbear.net 12 points 2 months ago

Reactionaries are the living embodiment of "can dish it out but can't take it."

[–] Rom@hexbear.net 17 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (1 children)

you should respect that it's Scott's choice to donate

While they refuse to respect someone's right to not play his game over this donation.

not everyone who donates to Republican is a bigot

doubt

"we're both racist so you owe him your money"

[–] Carl@hexbear.net 13 points 2 months ago (1 children)

didnt this guy used to make christian games? extremely unsurprising that he's a chud

[–] BountifulEggnog@hexbear.net 12 points 2 months ago

Yea that's how he started game dev, making christian games for kids.

[–] Boynomoder@hexbear.net 12 points 2 months ago

I know a lot of people grew up with it, but I just don’t get caring about FNAF anymore.

It fell off, the lore doesn’t make sense, I was still trying to keep up with it through Game Theory videos a few years ago and it’s clear Scott had/has no plan and is just milking the thing.

Five Nights At Freddie's, a super popular indie horror game (series). First game came out in 2014. It was very popular with let's players and kids, kinda stayed the same over time. Mostly a zoomer or even younger thing I guess. Its waned in recent years though. There was a movie too.

[–] SkingradGuard@hexbear.net 7 points 2 months ago

Now this is slop!

[–] DragonBallZinn@hexbear.net 7 points 2 months ago

These are the same people who will see red and DM death threats to developers under the slightest possible hint they wish anything less than genocide on anyone who isn't a white man btw.

[–] infuziSporg@hexbear.net 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

"not everyone who supports Republicans is a bigot"

2 sentences later

"just accept that there are people with different views"

Extremely good-faith dialog

[–] BeamBrain@hexbear.net 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I like how they have to reduce it down to "different views" as if it the questions were in the vein of "What flavor of ice cream is the best" and not "Should trans people remain alive."
