I'm everything in this photo. I can wake up if I need to at 600, but I get paranoid that I won't so I set my alarm for 530. Then I get paranoid that I'll sleep through that alarm so I set one for 545, and finally another for 600. I don't trust snooze because I've accidentally turned off the alarm too many times while trying to hit snooze.

But most of the time I will wake up 5 minutes before each of the three alarms.

Android needs to not have the snooze and stop button be so damn close to each other.

Yeah, I would prefer if snooze were tap the button and turn off was hold for 3 seconds or something.

just drink a bottle of water if you have to wake up early. alarms are uncivilized

[–] tetris11@feddit.uk 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Yeah! And drink a bottle of whiskey if you have to wake up late and can't be bothered to cancel the multiple alarms in your off day.

My life changed after getting a Lumie light about 8 years ago I think? I haven't woken up to a noise alarm since.

If I focus on it the night before for like 5 min and visualise my morning, I can reliably get up with about 5 minutes of prep before my alarm goes off.

I am all of these depending on how depression/anxiety has been treating me lately

And there is me that need electrical shock to wake up , and sometime I bypass the pain

I legitimately thought I activated some sort of extrasensory perception when I learned my internal clock worked

if you have a consistent sleep schedule and good sleep hygiene you will not need an alarm either, unless you've got a medical condition that interferes with hormone production or something
