"Mornin' neighbor. Hey just a question, is America great again yet?"

"Fuck you Frank"

[–] ininewcrow@lemmy.ca 78 points 10 months ago (1 children)

punches worker card in punch card machine

... company whistle blows to start the day ...

Hey Frank! How are your stocks? Lol!

Hey Gary! The Lord won't take you in the rapture!

[–] 0x01@lemmy.ml 79 points 10 months ago (1 children)

I'm imaging the spy vs spy cartoon guys in this whole exchange

[–] ininewcrow@lemmy.ca 28 points 10 months ago (2 children)

I was thinking more of Ralph and Sam cartoons (I couldn't remember the original names in my first comment)

Ralph and Sam

Yeah but that was just their job. They were friends outside of work hours.

It was actually a really great PS1 game based on them back in the day

[–] Zorsith@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Ralph and Sam had a game as well? I remember Spy vs Spy having a fun game, played it on Xbox a bunch with friends as a kid

[–] KingJalopy@lemm.ee 4 points 10 months ago

Yeah Sean Seanson is a YouTuber who does like old school PS1 videos He's got a great video on that.

They say it right at the beginning, but the wolf was always Wile E. Coyote in my memory.

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 76 points 10 months ago (1 children)

This is exactly what I imagine it's like living in a duplex.

[–] NocturnalMorning@lemmy.world 75 points 10 months ago (3 children)

The thing that always gets me is these asshole billionaires have convinced us that our neighbors are the problem while they reach into our pockets and rob us blind, all rhe whole spending billions of dollars a year on media propaganda to convince us these idiotic social issues are the problem when really, this is a class war. Always has been.

[–] The_Picard_Maneuver@lemmy.world 17 points 10 months ago (2 children)

It's my biggest gripe with political dialogue these days. People are extremely tribal and close themselves off from their neighbors, families, friends, over ideology, relying on their heavily curated bubble to inform them of what the other side is saying/doing.

I try to call it out when I see it, but it feels like a losing battle. Your neighbors aren't your enemy. Isolating ourselves only benefits the "ruling class", or whatever we want to call it.

It's hard to be friendly to MAGA hat wearing coworkers when they casually throw in an open borders joke while you personally know someone who's undocumented but has been living here for decades. It's worth keeping a little distance from those people.

[–] conditional_soup@lemm.ee 11 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

This. I mean, you can find common ground with these people, but it's WORK! It's constant, it's 100% on you, and if you touch any of the programmed hot buttons, you're back to square one. Some of them are so deep in the matrix that they're living in an entirely different reality. I've unironically had an easier time talking with people about all the different species of ET that have supposedly visited earth. 10/10 would hang with the Pleiadeians before MAGAs.

[–] NocturnalMorning@lemmy.world 8 points 10 months ago

That's why the propaganda is so effective. If we cut off the head.of fox News, OANN, etc. These people wpuldnt be like this.

[–] JasSmith@sh.itjust.works 2 points 10 months ago (2 children)

It’s hilarious that literally minutes after your comment someone replied with, “BUT MY NEIGHBOR REALLY IS THE ENEMY!”

[–] scintilla@lemm.ee 5 points 10 months ago

Im not going to be friends with someone that calls me a fucking groomer because I am trans. Sorry that its so hard for you to understand that some people have skin in the game and can't make marry with people that have actively caused harm to them.

[–] corsicanguppy@lemmy.ca 14 points 10 months ago

But also the neighbour's a bit of a cock.

[–] beejboytyson@lemmy.world 4 points 10 months ago

They donate to both parties.

[–] Nougat@fedia.io 72 points 10 months ago (1 children)

"Fuck no I'm not talking to that asshole about doing a new roof."

[–] PlaidBaron@lemmy.world 19 points 10 months ago (2 children)

I cant help but to notice the liberal could afford architectural shingles and the conservative could not.

[–] Nougat@fedia.io 11 points 10 months ago

The conservative also sweats balls in the summer at night.

That patio set is hotter than the Korean DMZ

[–] The_Picard_Maneuver@lemmy.world 45 points 10 months ago

I imagine they both wake up every morning and sit at the table, casually drinking their coffee, before getting started with their very angry days.

[–] Thcdenton@lemmy.world 35 points 10 months ago

I really hope its just one guy living in this house

[–] conditional_soup@lemm.ee 32 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago) (1 children)

Plot twist: they're both libertarians

[–] kittenzrulz123@lemmy.blahaj.zone 7 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Conservative Libertarians vs Bleeding Heart Libertarians

[–] conditional_soup@lemm.ee 3 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Left libertarians exist! There are dozens of us all across the country!

[–] kittenzrulz123@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Ik, im an Anarcho-Syndicalist.

[–] JigglySackles@lemmy.world 2 points 10 months ago

Oh Dennis, there's some lovely filth down here!

[–] ghost9@lemmy.world 32 points 10 months ago (1 children)

I choose to believe that this is one house and one person put up both signs.

[–] bdonvr@thelemmy.club 6 points 10 months ago

Would, fuck em both

[–] PyroNeurosis@lemmy.blahaj.zone 24 points 10 months ago

That Abraham Lincoln fucker lied to me. This divided house stands just fine!

[–] madame_gaymes@programming.dev 15 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Weird. The magat actually displayed their flag appropriately, as outlined in the US Flag Code, with the stars on the left when its hung vertically.

Funny enough, the flag on the right is not appropriate according to the US Flag Code. It is an altered version of the flag being used for political purposes. They also have their chakra rainbow rug upside down, purple usually on top. I don't see the chakra glyphs on there, so maybe it's not meant to represent them.

Call me picky if you must but I don't want to fuck either one of those geezers.
