You don't want to be an American for about 4 more years, unless something happens to change the insanity happening.

In America, you first become a legal permanent resident (we would say you have a "green card"). Once you have lived here for five years then you can apply for citizenship. The whole process is slow and can be somewhat arbitrary.
Another option is to enlist in the US military. After serving for several years you can get preferred status for citizenship.
As others said, this is a difficult time to be an immigrant in America. The current government is arresting and deporting legal residents based on flimsy accusations. You should consider waiting for Trump to be gone, or look at other countries.
If you're Arabic at all, it's certainly unwise, and might be impossible to become an American citizen at this time.
On the other hand, I believe Trump is selling citizenship cards for 5 million dollars.
no i am indo-aryan
Ah yeah no, so what would happen is you'd get here, called Arabic, and then treated like shit. If you'd like more information on the topic ask a kurd who's tried
I'm sorry, let me explain what I meant by "at all."
If a brain-dead MAGA cultists mouthbreather might suspect that you are "one of them brown people," (you'll forgive me for not using a term more accurate to their actual speech patterns) then you might reconsider. If you're white, by the standards of people who still fly Confederate flags, you might do ok.
That said, I am given to understand that our immigration system is a nightmare, and expensive. I don't know which nations might be easier or cheaper, but I recommend anywhere but here.
To become a Canadian citizen you'd have to start by emigrating here, then get your Permanent Resident status, and then apply for citizenship.
Here's some general information in immigrating to Canada: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada.html
Common ways to immigrate:
- You are a rich person with $500,000 to invest
- You have close relatives in a country you want to go to
- You marry a citizen (or sometime even permanent resident) of the country
- You are a "skilled worker"
- You apply for Political Asylum / Refugee Status
If you aren't doing the family-based immigration, or the marriage route, just avoid the US for at least 4 years. (It's risky now, for political reasons)
You're 15 years late for Europe.
Do you have any special qualifications like a doctorate in something?
The 3 most common options are through:
- Work - you need a US based company to sponsor you. Apply for jobs that offer sponsorship and relocation support. Or work for a company in your country that has an office in your desired destination, and ask to be relocated.
- Education - attend university in your desired destination.
- Marriage - fall in love with a citizen of your desired destination and get married.
You'll have to get in through a visa based on the above categories, then apply for permanent residency once you're in. Only after a few years of being a permanent resident can you apply for citizenship. Note that this can take years depending on the category and the country you're from.
