Nothing funnier than overfeeding your pets and then mocking them for being fat

True. Never mock someone trying to improve a healthy lifestyle.

Indeed. I made a similar comment about it, but apparently that wasn't "accurate". I guess the "funny" in this community is stemming more from the modlogs than anything else.

Anyone may request a moderator to restore posts and comments. That is a fair availability to everyone. But if something was removed, it was at a best judgement that it broke a site rule or community rule. Your early comment had a key word in it that was not (directly) represented in the image. Rule 1 - going off topic.
Commentor above is related to health which is related to gyms.
Apologies for any confusion.

And while using the gym treadmill you can look outside at people walking around for free.

I used to bike to work at an office building that had a spin class studio on the first floor. I was continually bemused at what fucking idiots those people were, wasting their time driving somewhere in order to waste even more time and money paying to ride a bike, when they could've just ridden their bike to wherever they needed to go for free and get their exercise along the way. I don't care what excuses they use to rationalize it; it makes no damn sense.

From what I know, this is one of the things that make the car-dependency in the US a serious issue

I live in the capital of Norway, and damn near everything here is in walkable distance, and it's so great. If I go somewhere I either take the public transit and/or walk, which really does add up over time. I can end up walking for many hours each week, which doesn't feel burdensome or boring, and can effectively replace the treadmill. Then maybe take a few more brisk walks beside the river if I feel like it or something like that, which is nicer than in a gym.

I use my bike to go to the gym, then use the treadmill and the equipment to work out and then bike back home. Am I an idiot?
