I've always wanted to try döner, but they're impossible to find in the US, at least outside large cities :(
I saw a chain for a brief time called “Vertskebap” but it didn’t last long. Maybe because they were also charging $16 a pop.

Döner macht schöner, auf Dauer auch schlauer. McDonalds just makes fat.
Lamb doner meat and chips, with lettuce, onions and burger sauce. Food of the gods!

Venus was always my favorite.
God i wish i could try real döner, didn't have a taste for it when I was young, and there just isn't any anywhere near me where i live now. Which just feels weird to me, i always thought that was a guarantee anywhere near a military installation
McDonalds is nasty. I don't touch the stuff in the US and feel it would really be a waste of what could have been a good meal in EU.

Not to be that guy, but McDonalds doesn't really give a shit if you eat at their restaurant. They own the land that the restaurant sits on. It's only the franchisee that gets in financial trouble from lost revenue.
McDonalds can always sell the land even if individual restaurants fail.

But the net on that is nothing. The profits on the land sale is everything, as long as they can hold it long enough (rented) to make it worthwhile.
