The rules for posting and commenting, besides the rules defined here for lemmy.world, are as follows:

Rules

Rule 1- No brigading.

**You may not encourage brigading any communities or subreddits in any way. **

YSKs are about self-improvement on how to do things.

Rule 2- No illegal or NSFW or gore content.

**No illegal or NSFW or gore content. **

Rule 3- Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here.

Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here. Breaking this rule will not get you or your post removed, but it will put you at risk, and possibly in danger.

Rule 4- No self promotion or upvote-farming of any kind.

That's it.

Rule 5- No baiting or sealioning or promoting an agenda.

Posts and comments which, instead of being of an innocuous nature, are specifically intended (based on reports and in the opinion of our crack moderation team) to bait users into ideological wars on charged political topics will be removed and the authors warned - or banned - depending on severity.

Rule 6- Regarding META posts.

Provided it is about the community itself, you may post non-Reddit posts using the [META] tag on your post title.

Rule 7- You can't harass or disturb other members.

If you vocally harass or discriminate against any individual member, you will be removed.

Likewise, if you are a member, sympathiser or a resemblant of a movement that is known to largely hate, mock, discriminate against, and/or want to take lives of a group of people, and you were provably vocal about your hate, then you will be banned on sight.

Rule 8- All comments should try to stay relevant to their parent content.

Rule 9- Reposts from other platforms are not allowed.

Let everyone have their own content.

Rule 10- Majority of bots aren't allowed to participate here. This includes using AI responses and summaries.

MODERATORS

I got this message today:

We’ve been alerted to activity on your account(s) that is considered breaking Reddit’s rules. We recently found that your (censored) account violated Rule 8 by repeatedly upvoting posts and/or comments that break Reddit's rule against encouraging or glorifying violence or physical harm. While you didn’t post the rule-breaking content, upvoting content that breaks the rules is also considered a violation. As a result, we’re issuing this warning and asking you to be thoughtful about any future content you upvote. Continued violations could result in a temporary or permanent ban. Please familiarize yourself with Reddit’s rules to make sure you understand the rules for participating on Reddit. This is an automated message; responses will not be received by Reddit admins.

I'm a very non-violent person, but I guess by upvoting comments that say "-F Trump" or "-F Musk" is breaking their rules. That's such a huge red flag. Now I'm getting warnings about what probably most of the world is thinking? Great policy there, Reddit.

One of the most blatant thought policing policies I've ever seen. This China or Russia style shit.

A message to all newcomers from Reddit: you can fucking swear here, please stop fucking self-censoring yourselves.

[–] KentKanobe@lemm.ee 17 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

Like I said, I don't normally swear. But just for you.... FUCK YEAH!!!!! 😆

[–] Lemjukes@lemm.ee 7 points 1 hour ago

That’s the fuckin spirit! Welcome! Fuck yeah!

[–] RowRowRowYourBot@sh.itjust.works 2 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

please remember your local laws and the laws facing your instance provider might not be the same.

[–] sunzu2@thebrainbin.org 2 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

Which country's law prohibits swearing online?

[–] RowRowRowYourBot@sh.itjust.works 2 points 44 minutes ago (1 children)

None, but I see people arguing what is legal on my instance from time to time which is odd because SJW servers are Canadian. I see the same on .world

[–] sunzu2@thebrainbin.org 1 points 30 minutes ago (1 children)

Lemmy world admins use "legality" suppress topics like Luigi and dead parasites because they whore for the regime

[–] RowRowRowYourBot@sh.itjust.works 1 points 24 minutes ago (1 children)

.world servers are in European nations. Im not sure what the laws are in the relevant countries.

[–] sunzu2@thebrainbin.org 1 points 20 minutes ago

The main Luigi sub is located on .world now and of seems to be doing fine..

When dead CEA happened mods on main sub's their said they could not have Luigi discussions because it it violated the EU laws

Reddit can apparently automagically detect when posts/comments are glorifying violence and detect when users upvote them... Then why aren't they just removing the "violent" comments? Why leave them up?

We all know why: because Spez is fucking lying.

[–] RowRowRowYourBot@sh.itjust.works 5 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

Why was I spending so much time reporting sexualized comments about minors for years on that site if they could auto detect things?

[–] sunzu2@thebrainbin.org 3 points 1 hour ago

The Country is ran by pedophiles since at least 90s...

[–] tigeruppercut@lemmy.zip 18 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

Yep-- wanna bet this never applies to accounts upvoting "fuck biden" or "let's go brandon" comments?

[–] sunzu2@thebrainbin.org 1 points 1 hour ago

That was "political" speech but saying fuck trump is a promoting violence

Welcome to 2025 america where parasite took over the fed gov 100%

And we let them do it ... Good thing Democrats know how to be a proper opposition party

[–] redlemace@lemmy.world 83 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

“-F Trump” or “-F Musk”

Bro! This isn't reddit! Here you can keep things readable so we don't have to de-asterisk/guess Therefore "Fuck Trump & Fuck Musk" will just do quite well

[–] KentKanobe@lemm.ee 25 points 5 hours ago (2 children)

Well, I don't swear much either haha.

[–] redlemace@lemmy.world 20 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

It's not mandatory (but it's allowed)

[–] picnicolas@slrpnk.net 1 points 11 minutes ago

I find self censorship offensive

[–] AreaKode@lemmy.world 15 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

It's okay, and in fact often encouraged to say "fuck you" to Nazis. Give it a try!

[–] ThePantser@sh.itjust.works 10 points 5 hours ago

Fuck Nazis but also you can say I hope the Nazis are murdered in glorious violence.

Don't forget to leave very bad review on how terrible their app is, lack of privacy, crashes and etc. Only talk about the app features and nothing else if not they can remove your review.

[–] MoonlightFox@lemmy.world 2 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

Can they remove a bad review without text?

[–] Litebit@lemmy.world 2 points 3 hours ago* (last edited 3 hours ago)

don't see any reason they would remove that.

[–] rtxn@lemmy.world 22 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

Calling something "literall 1984" is trite, I know, but this is pretty damn close to getting charged with wrongthink.

[–] WhatAmLemmy@lemmy.world 4 points 3 hours ago

It won't be long until the US rival the CCP for censorship and persecution.

[–] halfapage@lemmy.world 11 points 5 hours ago (4 children)

What do they expect to achieve with this?

[–] samus12345@lemm.ee 1 points 39 minutes ago

Pleasing the corporate overlords by suppressing anything they don't like.

[–] KentKanobe@lemm.ee 17 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

I imagine banning / blocking people whose opinions they don't like, creating an echo chamber?

[–] WhatAmLemmy@lemmy.world 6 points 3 hours ago

Yep. Like X. The fascist tech bros goal is to turn all of US tech into fascist state media.

[–] humiddragonslayer@lemm.ee 5 points 5 hours ago* (last edited 5 hours ago)

I imagine it's a convenient way to weed out all those pesky people saying inconvenient things that investors don't like

[–] thermal_shock@lemmy.world 1 points 5 hours ago* (last edited 5 hours ago)

What did your comment (and mine) achieve?

[–] Blaze@lemmy.dbzer0.com 11 points 6 hours ago

Welcome to Lemmy, here are a few pointers to help you settle in

[–] Lucky_777@lemmy.world 5 points 5 hours ago

Welcome!!! It's way better here, enjoy some freedom!

[–] Hello_there@fedia.io 4 points 5 hours ago

Finish the job by editing all your comments and posts to say: "Luigi spez"
