This was all it was about the whole time. The executive branch has been outright bought so Musk can avoid consequences for his businesses' questionable-at-best ethics.

[–] freddydunningkruger@lemmy.world 14 points 2 days ago

Just wait until NASA issues another contract to SpaceX so they can blow up another $5 billion in taxpayer dollars

The only good Nazi is a dead Nazi.

There it is. I knew there was a reason

[–] 9point6@lemmy.world 117 points 2 days ago

This is just one of many reasons, for example

The FAA head pushed out by Musk before all the planes started crashing had fairly recently fined spaceX for safety issues.

It's just pettiness and entitlement. He's going after everyone who has ever said no to him.

[–] LostWon@lemmy.ca 87 points 2 days ago (3 children)

I could have sworn at least 3 of the companies he pretends to run were under investigation by different agencies.

[–] MrVilliam@lemm.ee 48 points 2 days ago (6 children)

This, starlink regarding Russia invading Ukraine, and I'm gonna guess spacex regarding government contracts? Idk about that 3rd one being investigated but it's definitely one of the many conflicts of interest.

[–] adarza@lemmy.ca 37 points 2 days ago (3 children)

tesla has been investigated, as well.. so tesla, neuralink, boring, spacex and starlink.. old spice himself, x(sh)itter would be, his current government work would be...

so pretty much every fucking thing that elon musk has paw prints on is investigated or would be.

Seems like "drain the swamp" turned into "put the swamp monster in charge, give it steroids and flood the forest"

He drives a Tesla so it's a real possibility

[–] roofuskit@lemmy.world 4 points 2 days ago

I regret that I have but one upvote to give.

[–] Eddbopkins@lemmy.world 33 points 2 days ago

Musk is a walking conflict of interest pos. So he just fires all the people that have a conflict with his agenda? The United States is fucked under this leadership.

[–] BigMacHole@lemm.ee 80 points 2 days ago

So? Elon Musk illegally FIRING Government Employees investigating his businesses is NOTHING compared to HUNTER BIDEN getting a JOB in CHYNA!

Isn’t that the place where fElons go?

[–] DJDarren@sopuli.xyz 10 points 2 days ago

No, some of them become president.

[–] Olhonestjim@lemmy.world 12 points 2 days ago

Too easy for the rich to get out. Bring out the guillotines.

[–] simplejack@lemmy.world 51 points 2 days ago (2 children)

This shit is so fucking Russian. Blatantly corrupt.

[–] rottingleaf@lemmy.world 21 points 2 days ago (2 children)

With Russian shit you wouldn't hear of this, and the investigators wouldn't be very willing to do anything in the first place.

That you even hear about this is a sign of resilience of your system.

Like a canary that's dying, that is.

[–] Brumefey@sh.itjust.works 17 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Seems to me that the USA is quite close to having journalists / whistleblowers dying by suicide…

[–] technocrit@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 2 days ago

So close that it has happened multiple times.

[–] rottingleaf@lemmy.world 5 points 2 days ago

I don't even mean that, just the fact that there is some outrage, you are normally talking about it, and parts of the government actually act as they are supposed to.

Hmmm that's the 20th canary that's violently exploded this week...

Maybe Independence was a bad idea

[–] fox2263@lemmy.world 35 points 2 days ago

Nope. No conflict of interest there at all. ..

[–] thisphuckinguy@lemmy.world 10 points 2 days ago

These fucking cunts

[–] crusa187@lemmy.ml 34 points 2 days ago (2 children)

This is one of the fun little horrors I’ve been contemplating recently. Wonder what kind of completely unhinged neuralink human trials will be happening this year?

[–] Ledericas@lemm.ee 28 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

musk shagged(surrogate) the head of the neuralink division in texas a and M and made her produce a child for him. he and the university performed unsanctioned experiments on MONKEYs causing them to suffer, and musk's response"they were going to die any ways".

when you are in a university performing research on animals, theres regulations and protocols to follow, they probably dint do that. this makes the university look bad for doing this.

I can see trials going on at Gitmo in a year

[–] xenomor@lemmy.world 29 points 2 days ago

I think that this company needs to be burned to the ground.

[–] jeena@piefed.jeena.net 48 points 2 days ago

That is the main reason of Dodges existence, what did you think would happen?

[–] breadsmasher@lemmy.world 42 points 2 days ago (1 children)

conservative communities wont comment on this. They love massive conflict of interests. clowns.

Awwww, how convenient. An illegal immigrant doesn't want to be investigated.

[–] redhydride@lemmy.ml 10 points 2 days ago

Surprising it took this long
