I have an Animaniacs song I've remembered almost my whole life just for that purpose!
Surprised the hell out of my history teacher when I had the answer for what number President Warren Harding was. Took me a minute and a half to get to that point of the song though lol
Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Indianapolis, Indiana, and Columbus is the capital of Ohio. There's Montgomery, Alabama, south of Helena, Montana, then there's Denver, Colorado under Boise, Idaho!
