Not the act of asking, but not being aware of your basic needs and state of your body (e.g. being hungry or having an allergy), and/or having issues with tracking these might be symptoms.
This might seem like a silly question to most, but I'm kind of oblivious to some things that are obvious to most people (e.g. having allergies, knowing when I'm hungry, when I should go to the doctor, etc.)
If I had a dollar for every time someone said that to me or on Lemmy and got their ADHD diagnosis some time later... I would probably have like 50 ๐
