On a shitty musk thread, press and hold on the image/video and select "Not interested." If you do this a few times the musk spam should largely fade out of your feed.
I've been doing that, but I've also been clicking on stories to translate them first so I might have been giving the algorithm mixed signals. I also want to be able to discuss politics, and it's hard to avoid.

I don't know how people that aren't white supremacists have any positive feelings towards this piece of shit. He is a product of apartheid South Africa. He is a racist to his core and a nazi. Completely baffling.
Unfortunately many people in China see him as some kind of visionary genius (heโs an engineer!) whoโs going to fix America with his genius optimization plan to weed out inefficiency in the government bureaucracy lol. Iโve even seen people wrote that maybe China should have its own DOGE lmao.
Also his Tesla factory in Shanghai actually pays twice as well in terms of salary and benefits (including medical insurance, pension plans and annual leave) compared to the other Chinese EV competitors, so itโs has quite a reputation there because many people hate the long working hours very commonly found in Chinese factory jobs. Foreign multinational corporations usually pay much better and less demand for overtime work. Itโs all relative it seems.
My (shallow) observation is that it's a mix of "wow, cool rocket" tech brain and a kind of technocratic belief that scientists/engineers/entrepreneurs are not just smart but wise. Do you have thoughts on my assessment?
