Front yard planting has been done. The augur to go on the drill worked well & made digging holes one handed much easier. I was very careful to make sure I was wearing gloves.
A couple of the plants might not have survived the wait, but I planted them anyway in case they are able to regrow from the roots. I've just got a few more plants to go in the shady spots and down the side of the house and that will be everything.
Augers, so hot right now :)
Got a crook back today and it's not even a shagger's back. How sad is that.
As far as everyone else is concerned it's 100% shagger's back.
It's not his birthday.
It's someone's birthday though. Might as well celebrate that.
True. I'll celebrate opening a new box of tissues so you don't need to tell me twice.
I walked home through the park and took a great pic of the century plants all in flower. They must be at least four metres tall.

Pain so bad....I may need a margarita.
I swear cashew cream is so good. Especially if you don’t have cream on hand or are a bit iffy with it. I soaked my cashews for about 15 min in hot water then just blitzed in the NutriBullet. Perfect!
A shame they’re so expensive. Vegan cheese and cheesecake…
I may have been convinced to try karaoke tonight. May have confirmed my knowledge that my enthusiasm for singing is not entirely matched by my talent. Heaps fun though. So good to have stupid fun with friends and family. Laughed so much I nearly threw up.
Fucking broke the door of my washing machine 😭😭
Oh shit!
Started dragging stuff down but it was heavy and took more trips than I thought… Didn’t pay attention to time so the place shut before I could bring everything down and had to drag one load back home as it rained. Still half to go.
At least there’s more floor clear because I really need to vacuum
Still sick. Fucking hell. Hope to be better by new years eve :(
Hope you feel better ASAP!
Thank you ❤️
The brand of pumpkin baby food my cat gets is Rafferty’s Garden…

Set up podium tennis. Children have massive fight with each other. Have a few angry hits myself after they storm inside. Why HIT can't HIT we HIT just HIT have HIT fun HIT like HIT a HIT normal HIT fucking HIT family HIT It was hard to put in the lawn because, although lush and spongey to walk on, the ground is so hard. Gonna need a deeper hole. Brought it in so it doesn't get rusty when it rains, which it looks like it will soon. Now I feel a bit flat because the fun thing wasn't fun for them. I'm gonna stop pouting and make some bolognaise I think.

Question for the wildlife people:: I can hear an owl hooting outside. It's 2pm. I've not generally known owls to hoot at this time, although I know some don't always sleep all day. Just feeling like a hoot? Injured? Overheating? Normal?
Very distinct "Hoot-hoo-hoot". Always in triples, second one slightly shorter (fractions of a second) than the first and last one. It's been intermittent since I woke up about 8:30. Been going about 15 mins this time
It might be a dove. Does it sound like this?
Love those doves.
Omg that's exactly it! Whichever one lives in the tree seems to only be doing the part from :06-:10
TIL the thing I've thought was an owl I'd actually just a dove! Had no clue they made that noise. Guess I need to brush up on what exactly an owl sounds like. Thanks raven!
Fun fact: I'm originally from "the country" and had never heard these birds outside of Melbourne. Their sound strongly triggers the memories/feelings of suburban Melbourne which is kinda funny.
I recommend the Museums Victoria Field Guide app. It has most animals you are likely to encounter, and includes recordings of bird calls.
Hubs just destroyed incel ideology by pointing out danny devito fucks and I can't stop laughing
Love getting a box of Nan's Christmas bikkies 😍
so cute and such a treat
^Obligatory Cat Tax included^
The only downside is having to share them with my partner 😂
