I'm trying to find where the characters "抚 剑伤世路" are in the image, but they don't seem to be there. Is that a simplified version of the text in red?
~~bold of you to assume that I have any idea of what's written there and that I'm not simply reposting a funny image I saw to get internet points~~

i feel like i'm going insane because these characters don't match up at all
As mentioned in other comments, this is seal script, not just normal chinese characters, so they won't do exact matches, but they are similar in their general shapes.

The seal script is different but it's easier to see with the traditional characters
