Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Congratulations, you don't have to vote anymore. It is what he said, right?

If he wins the popular vote, it'll show everyone how misogynistic this country really is.

I honestly don't understand what's different this time. He massively lost the popular vote both other times. Now he's more popular?

Not really, not all the votes are in yet, but he actually is polling behind his vote total from last time, 70M to 74M.

It's Harris that saw a steep drop-off in support. Biden got 81M votes, Harris so far only has 66M. The final amount will be higher, but there is a clear enthusiasm gap. Almost 1/6 of Biden voters simply didn't show up. That makes it hard to win.

Yet Missouri of all places overturned their abortion ban!

You don't have to be a misogynist to think Kalama was a terrible choice. The DNC could have had Biden drop out earlier, they could have had a primary and pick a different candidate, but no they have to go with a woman who slept her way into politics. Hillary was a better candidate than her and she was fucking bought and paid for by Wall Street.

Every swing state went for him and it really looks like he'll be the first republican in two decades to win the popular vote.

This is the Biden legacy.

[–] MeekerThanBeaker@lemmy.world 19 points 7 months ago

No. It's corporations causing inflation to make up for the Covid money they lost, then idiots blaming Biden for it.

[–] AmbiguousProps@lemmy.today 14 points 7 months ago

Biden shouldn't have seeked a second term in the first place. If I recall correctly, in his 2020 campaign he claimed he would step aside after his term, and now that he didn't hold to it, we're screwed. The Dems never had a full campaign, and Biden (unintentionally) sabotaged any chance they had to win. This is definitely how he'll be remembered.

Yes, it's Biden's fault that Americans are fucking morons. 🤡

[–] MyDogLovesMe@lemmy.world 14 points 7 months ago (1 children)

USA, you’ve let the world down and destroyed yourself in the process.

I have as much sparky for what you’ve done as I have for the Russian people.

Reap what you’ve sown, America.

Your time is over.

[–] DarkThoughts@fedia.io 7 points 7 months ago

You talk like the rest of the world will be fine, while we've been already on track into a +3 degrees Celsius world BEFORE the shitface fascist won.

OUR time is over.

[–] Bonesince1997@lemmy.world 1 points 7 months ago

And there it is.
