I just started To use neo launcher today. After some tweaking Somehow it looks really good actually.I tried launchair 14 before, but it was randomly crashing. Do you use Neo? I would like to see your home screen setup.

I stumbled across this today. Is it still being updated? Github suggests it's still active but the latest release in IzzyOnDroid seems to be from 2022.

It not that much. I need some idea

I think it would be a huge improvement to drop the text under the icons (or at least show the full names). The ellipses would drive me crazy lol

Yeah, Neo Launcher is really good. Even though its still in its beta right now, the full release is coming soon. I consider it an upgrade over Lawnchair, and honestly probably the best open alternative to Nova (rip) overall.

I use it for a while. I really liked the RSS feed reader

I don't remember why I stopped but I think I maybe had some stability issues?

I’m a Nova Launcher user and thoroughly happy with it.

So was everybody until they were bought by an advertising company and fired nearly everyone working on the project.

[–] AndrewZabar@lemmy.world 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Wow. That sucks. Why would an advertising company buy them, though? Seems odd.

[–] HurlingDurling@lemmy.world 1 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Mostly to put data trackers and harvest your data to sell it, and it wasn't an advertising company, it was an analytics company called Branch

[–] AndrewZabar@lemmy.world 1 points 9 months ago (1 children)

So did they ever implement any of that? If so, as of what version?

[–] HurlingDurling@lemmy.world 1 points 9 months ago (1 children)
  1. It's not open source.
  2. I don't think they would openly say that
[–] AndrewZabar@lemmy.world 1 points 9 months ago

Ah. Okies. Well, I’m using version 8 and it’s fine no intention of going to newer. And some devices are using older versions.
