The trend these days is that the US sanctions someone, hurts only themselves, and the target of the sanctions ends up better off.
I hope this trend continues to accelerate
It will because a critical mass of trade outside western financial system has been reached now. That's why the sanctions aren't working. As more and more countries start joining BRICS, that's going to continue shifting the balance of power further away from the west.
