If they ever get anything, it will be millions at most. There's no chance the firm will give up any of the real wealth. Good luck to them though, I would love to see some of the fortune actually put to good use somewhere. They don't appear to use it to help anybody here.

This is why I’m opposed to reparations in the form of a single direct payment to descendants. What’s going to happen is a very small group is going to negotiate with the rich ppl. The rich will offer a pittance, because the descendants have no leverage. The descendants will accept, cause … free money. And then a lot of white will decide that black people need to stop bitching about slavery, cause whatever injustices were committed have officially been paid off. It’s bad idea.

It’s better to explicitly define current day social inequalities that at the result of slavery. E.g. enormous difference in median household wealth between black and white ppl. Define a plan to rectify that specifically. And then commit slavery profiteers to pay for the plan until that specific inequality is in longer present.
