Will this one be paid?
We don't know. Last year they implied as much, that the beta period would be accessible to people who had above a certain threshold, some randomly selected, and also as a buy-in for anyone else who wanted to play. But since then, they rebranded from beta to "early access" and early access periods for free-to-play games tend to also be free-to-play. I'd lean towards saying it'll probably be free, but there's a chance it isn't. We'll see.
