Every year is the hottest on record too. The stakes in elections never go down and the problems only pile on.

That's only going to get worse as climate change worsens living conditions for people around the world. Politicians need to do something about it, are basically the only ones who can do anything about it, but maybe/probably won't.

The previous asshole completely reconfigured the court so that significant decisions like roe and chevron were overturned. Even the long-standing practice of stare decisis is being undone.

Thousands will suffer for as long as those justices remain on the court with lifetime appointments.

So, yeah. Elections kinda matter.
