He's never been on the ground anywhere it happened. And he was never a reporter. He was a government IT worker. Who stole classified information with the proper intent of whistleblowing on government action. But then dumped it in the hands of a Russian asset. Fleeing the country ending up in Russia himself to become another asset. I think his initial intent was good. But I wouldn't take anything he says these days too seriously. He's an asset of the FSB whether or not he wants to be. And he would tell you the same if he was free too. But he cannot speak his mind. And he cannot call out all those behaving badly. Just those that Russia allows him.
