Is there a good reason they won't get acceptance?
Good reasons no, itβs about hiding HDMI spec and protecting some shit DRM
their kernel module is open source, which is a no-go for the hdmi forum. if they would/could put the hdmi stuff into a binary blob like nvidia does, they would (likely) be in the clear. alas.
AMD wants to open-source the driver, the HDMI Forum doesn't like that
