Actors not sweeping correctly when somebody broke a glass or somebody's ashes were spilled on the floor or something like that is infuriating hahha.

They're always having some serious conversation with heavy relationship complications, but whoever has the broom is literally tapping at the mess on the floor because they know that the production crew is going to clean it up for them after the shoot, so they, the ac-tors, don't have to actually sweep the mess into the dustbin.

I f****** hate that.

If they aren't sweeping correctly is isn't because they are stuck up actors; it's because sweeping is loud and they want to get the dialog recorded.

I think so too. They're taking long slow sweeps barely touching the floor, it's so ridiculous

And they'd have to reset if they cleaned it up before the next take.

Kinda weird that's not fixed by prop brooms where the bristles don't really reach. Like if some rigid rings were hidden among them and stuck out further.

I saw an episode of 'The Americans' that was set in a bowling alley. If you look closely you can see some people in the background pretending to throw invisible balls. I guess that some props are just too expensvie or niche to bother to make.

That's... uh...

I know bowling balls are loud even if you gutterball every one of them, but. Guys. There's other balls. Spray-paint a basketball or something.

Or shoot the scene in close-up and hope that the back ground players are out of focus.

Also, the mics they use for dialog are very sensitive. If they'll pick up someone sweeping half a room away, they'll pick up any kind of balls.

I only noticed because I knew one of the extras and they told me to keep an eye out.
