Why did people think she was anything but a weirdo nazi freak I don’t understand
she used to have "anti-imperialist" in her twitter bio and used to be vocally pro-trans back in like 2012 when she was semi popular among techno warehouse types, and that was still kinda rare to hear back then. So people latched onto her
her getting with Musk was very, very surreal at the time. Imagine if Jeff Bezos started dating the girl from 100gecs. That's what it felt like.
thanks for the background info. I’m old enough to have transitioned before 2012 so I don’t dispute our lack of advocates. I just genuinely had never heard of her prior to Elmo drama
that's understandable, she wasn't well known outside of electronic music circles, and she was probably most well known because of her voice anyway. She does a very ethereal lispy high pitched child-like voice when she sings and it's recognizable as her. She notoriously doesn't do live concerts very often, so she ended up more of a twitter/instagram celebrity for a while
I went out a few times with a girl that was her fan and she idolized their relationship, should not have ignored the giant red flags. Would not go out with a lib again, specially someone that likes childish billionaires
