Work Reform

A place to discuss positive changes that can make work more equitable, and to vent about current practices. We are NOT against work; we just want the fruits of our labor to be recognized better.
Our Philosophies:
- All workers must be paid a living wage for their labor.
- Income inequality is the main cause of lower living standards.
- Workers must join together and fight back for what is rightfully theirs.
- We must not be divided and conquered. Workers gain the most when they focus on unifying issues.
Our Goals
- Higher wages for underpaid workers.
- Better worker representation, including but not limited to unions.
- Better and fewer working hours.
- Stimulating a massive wave of worker organizing in the United States and beyond.
- Organizing and supporting political causes and campaigns that put workers first.

A majority of Americans have low-quality jobs

Only about four in 10 American workers say that they have a decent job, finds a new survey on job quality from Gallup out Thursday.
Why it matters: Bad jobs aren't just a misery for employees — for companies, they're linked to costly turnover and higher health care expenses.
Zoom in: Gallup defines a quality job as one that meets minimum standards across a few dimensions: fair pay and benefits; a safe and respectful workplace free from harassment and discrimination; and a predictable schedule.
By the numbers: This year, 41% of workers meet Gallup's standards for a quality job, unchanged from 2025.
The big picture: This is the second year Gallup has released its American Job Quality study and it comes at a turbulent time for workers.
Between the lines: This is partly an AI issue.
The bottom line: Most Americans are working in low-quality jobs — and those with a good job worry about AI taking it away.

Yeah forreal this "article" Is just a list of bullet points with no real overall point.
People often don’t do that [edit: post the entire article like you did] because it can be considered illegal in many countries in to do so (depending on the format).
Oh, yes, I think it just depends how much legal attention a system has gotten. Some mods don't allow it.
Well, the mods don’t know where you are posting from. As far as regional legal compliance, I have noticed it highly depends on where the particular instance that the community is hosted on happens to be hosted.
Feddit.de - for example - has a bunch of sitewide rules that apply to the instance due to the fact that it is hosted in Germany.
