I love that in your idea of reality the president’s power grabs would be stopped by system

For me the point would be to tell them I'm going to keep grabbing power until they stop me. Give them the steps, as much as I can to help them stop me, and if they don't, maybe their replacement will, as I will remove them from office, power grabbing and all.

Worst case for me is that I become the villain, and everyone gets healthcare and other safety nets.
