Seeing this, I apologize for losing my cool and getting frustrated with her. I've deleted some of my comments. Sometimes I need to do a better job remembering the human, and with disengaging when things are unproductive.
Whether she accepts it or not, I'm done with the conversation. I maintain my position, but I see no point in continuing. If she hates me, she hates me, and she wouldn't be the first, either way the conversation is over.
Perhaps you're right to an extent, but I at least shouldn't have called her an idiot. She is correct that it is ablest language, and I know better.
In any case, when I thought of it in terms of a high person saying something I consider ignorant, irl, of course I wouldn't go off on them. And when I look at it that way, regardless of whether the person on the other end is high, sober, whatever, sometimes, I could afford to be more patient.
Depending on the person, of course.
The person you're talking with hates women. Control+F his post history with literally any misogynistic term you can imagine. I'm not sure you're going to have much luck talking about ableism with them, but you never know.
