[–] HerbGrower@slrpnk.net 1 points 16 hours ago

Who said he is wasting it?

[–] AwesomeLowlander@sh.itjust.works 25 points 1 day ago (1 children)

There's almost an entire Recommended Daily Intake worth of nutrients in those bags combined!

[–] mojofrododojo@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago (1 children)

yes but you have to also eat the bags.

[–] mojofrododojo@lemmy.world 1 points 3 hours ago

[–] crypt0cler1c@infosec.pub 7 points 1 day ago

It's barely food anyway. We've got bigger fish to fry than this guy's love for Cheetos.

[–] savvywolf@pawb.social 12 points 1 day ago

You know, this got me thinking, how much food is actually being wasted here? Aren't Cheetos like this mostly air and chemicals? How much actual plantlife is used that could have been used elsewhere?

Also, TIL Cheetos aren't vegetarian. So sadly there is an element of animals suffering unnecessarily...

People share stuff.

Cheetos basically never expire, so as long as he keeps those bags sealed, he now owns a lifetime supply.

[–] ObtuseDoorFrame@lemmy.zip 11 points 1 day ago (2 children)

No, Cheetos absolutely expire. And these bags are not multi layer like the chip bags that sit on shelves for years, these are single layer cellophane bags which will let this food go stale within a few weeks. Most of this ended up in a landfill.

[–] ilinamorato@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago

I suppose.

Most of this ended up in a landfill.

Or given away, or taken to parties, or whatever.

Or this might all be fake. Who knows.

This guy is going to make a humidity controlled UV darkroom, I bet

Logic. This stuff started to go stale/bad long before he made a dent in it. The rest is in a landfill.
