He resigned and then he was immediately pardoned by Ford. What's Trump going to do, pardon Nixon a second time??
Accepting a pardon is an admission of guilt.
Trump is trying to rewrite history so that Nixon's acts are considered normal presidential behavior instead of criminal corruption.
That’s not settled law. From your own link (emphasis mine):

That is, a pardon for any and all crimes that may have committed during a specified period. And if that's the case, and someone accepts such a pardon, what exactly are they admitting guilt to? Everything? Anything?
Also, pardons have long been used to rectify miscarriages of justice, their wording has indicated that purpose, and pardonees have accepted those pardons.
To be fair, it would be normal for trump. He's done worse and got away with it.
