I wouldn't hold my breath. I think the franchise has been saturated now. The ONLY way I could see it happening is if they retconned the sequels or if they retconned all the stuff prior to the Disney purchase and made that all canon again. i'm talking books, comics, games, etc. I know Filoni has tried doing that one piece at a time but I really wish they'd just full out say "yeah this stuff is all canon again"

that being said I feel like it's too late for that stuff as the majority of those stories all revolved around Luke, Leia, Han, and their kids. I would have loved to see a Shadows of the Empire film. I would have loved to see a trilogy about Jacen, Jaina, and Ben and how they deal with all that. I REALLY wanted to see a Rogue Squad/Wraith Squad film like the Bacta War or something with Wedge, Wes, Hobbie, Tycho and Corran but instead we're getting something else completely.

Ive always said that Disney should have said "Ok fuck it, theres 2 universes. Theres the "Star Wars Expanded Universe" which will be M rated, aimed at adults and Star Wars Canon Universe which will be PG and more family friendly.

And yes, I want a Rogue/Wraith Squadron series as bad as you do. Id even settle for Dinner or Silly Squadrons.
