A place to discuss and support all Steam Hardware, including Steam Deck, Steam Machine, Steam Frame, and SteamOS in general.
As Lemmy doesn't have flairs yet, you can use these prefixes to indicate what type of post you have made, eg:

If your post is only relevant to one hardware device (Deck/Machine/Frame/etc) please specify which one as part of the title or by using a device flair.
These are not enforced, but they are encouraged.
Rules:

- Posts must be related to Steam Hardware or Steam OS in an obvious way.
- No piracy, there are other communities for that.
- Discussion of emulators are allowed, but no discussion on how to illegally acquire ROMs.

I'm curious if an official ARM-based Steam Deck is on the horizon. Switching to ARM on the Deck seems like a logical next step after the Steam Frame release.
I'm sure if AMD or Intel don't get their act together and produce something that more efficient than whatever Qualcomm have in the pipeline, that's what's going to happen.
I just hope Valve will have stated by then to entice ARM native games instead of wasting performance on emulation.
Honestly I would love to see like an elite 8 styled ARM device but a huge win would be a user upgradable SSD still. It would set it apart from like the AYN line
