do you think billionaires roleplay as the working class like French aristocrats would roleplay peasants? (lemmy.ml)

French aristocrats used to make model towns that romanticized rural life and to some extent I have seen wealthy people do this through "homesteading" but I am curious if the bourgeoisie has like, idk, fake mcdonalds? Obviously not all of them but I feel like there have to be some that are into this or something like it.

Conceptually I understand the desire to follow some project or purpose. I guess I just would do something more interesting than a normal 9to5 if I had the means to do so.

I think if I did this I would have the decency not to tell people around me who could actually suffer if they don't make enough money how stressed I am by my imaginary play money job.
