French aristocrats used to make model towns that romanticized rural life and to some extent I have seen wealthy people do this through "homesteading" but I am curious if the bourgeoisie has like, idk, fake mcdonalds? Obviously not all of them but I feel like there have to be some that are into this or something like it.

Expensive designer ripped jeans are very much exaclty this, as are brand name t shirts and the like
