Rule 2: Do not copy the entire article into your post. Rule 5: Keep it civil. It's OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It's NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.

If you're posting more than say, 10 or so, consider going outside and touching grass. We reserve the right to limit over-posting so a single user does not dominate the front page.
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

My point is the ratio is so skewed that you can effectively ignore the minority as inconsequential.
I am not advocating punishing all isrealis indiscriminately based on the actions of the majority. I am just saying that Israelis are far right and I don't see a lot of value in adding any caveats after such a general statement.
The mental gymnastics necessary to say this in a thread about two Israelis being threatened with murder for their activism related to exposing the genocide is absolutely wild. Much less to call it inconsequential.
They're also being threatened with having their citizenship revoked, because not being far right is considered incompatiable with being isreali by the isrealis.
You are demanding an asterisk and foot notes to my joke comment about the pervasiveness of far right beliefs shared by the overwhelming majority of Israeli citizens where I acknowledge the obvious: not 100% of the people share these beliefs. Yeah, no duh - that genuinely goes without saying, it's true for literally every generalization.
The level of accuracy you are requesting is (and I don't mean this as an insult) autistic. There are unspoken elements involved in human interaction and the acceptance that a generalization does not apply 100% is something I should be able to take for granted in a Lemmy comment.

You can’t take that for granted that can go unstated because not everyone in the internet agrees with that. When you start leaving that out you start getting people who agree Israel is bad for other reasons, leading to the Nazi bar problem. If you don’t get how categorizing all Israelis as belonging to a single negative category could attract agreement from the reich side of the internet, there’s nothing I can do for you.
Also wtf is the point of making a flippant joke on a thread about pro-Palestinian action endangering someone’s life?? I may be autistic but even I know that’s fucking weirdo behavior.
