Why is the title different?
We like to have fun here.
What is this place? A safe space for underrepresented peoples and peoples of color to talk, chill, and vibe.
What are the basic rules of the community?

This community is for ethnic minorities and people of color. This is a safe space where such people can freely discuss their struggles, insight, and thoughts without fear. If you are not, we respectfully ask you do not post or comment here. A future community will be established to allow for racial discussions with a mixed userbase. However, remember, comments here must still respect Lemmy TOS and Community Guidelines.

This includes those of mixed heritage and those who may be "white" but are of an ethnicity that is a minority in their area (i.e. Kurds, etc) If you've experienced oppression due to your identity that is not based on sexual / gender identification, you are welcome here.

Moreover, for our American audience, we have people from around the world who are "white" but are oppressed due to being a minority in their country. They are and should be welcomed here.

The Treaty of Fort Jackson (also known as the Treaty with the Creeks) was signed on this day in 1814 at Fort Jackson in Alabama. The treaty was agreed upon in the aftermath of the defeat of Red Stick (Upper Creek) resistance by U.S. forces at the Battle of Horseshoe Bend.
The treaty was the "largest single Indian cession of southern American land", according to historian Michael Rogin - around 23 million acres in Alabama and Georgia. The U.S. forces won with the battle with the help of allied Cherokee and Lower Creek forces friendly to the American side.
The terms of various treaties with the Creek nation would go on to be consistently violated by Americans colonizing the south.

See the thing is they have deluded themselves into thinking being jewish is not only on the same level as being racialized (despite most of them being white) but EVEN more oppressed so acknowledging that it is indeed the majority of jews, orgs etc who are zionists, liberal or otherwise, is already taboo or "antisemitic conspiracies". It's a perfect cover for white people to be both their victim and genocidal selves at the same time even more than other marginalization they may have such as being queer or women or disabled. Because despite europeans being the main oppressors of jews and the ones that committed atrocities against them it's the colonized arabs and the global south that has to shut up and just grovel over and pay the price as if we haven't suffered countless holocausts either unrecognized, celebrated or not given any importance. Jewish supremacy is antisemitism being the bigotry that gets the most attention and treated as more urgent and not being able to criticize anybody in the community no matter who you are or what they have done cause you're automatically Hitler if you do lmao none of this ever gets extended to any other community of marginalized people. It is also being able to use a singular genocide nearly a century ago but racialized people just get told to "get over it" no matter how long ago or how recent our genocides were or are ongoing. And ofc it gives you the right to commit genocide yourself.
People protesting outside a synagogue selling stolen Palestinian land gets the fucking feds on your ass and calls of "growing antisemitism" on national news but shooting up a mosque gets fucking crickets. Fuck white people.

Vast majority of Jewish orgs near me put out some variety of incitement-to-genocide type content following 10/7, they are all 99% white, they lock arms with their WASP neighbors to destroy what’s left of the local black community, but if you don’t put up with the ridiculous pretense that these people are somehow oppressed, you are a nazi antisemite.

Why are no actions being taken against the KKK or Order of Nine Angels or the Aryan Brotherhood or any of a dozen other neo-nazi groups? And I never thought of what you brought up about the not at all talked about Romani genocide that occurred at the same time as the holocaust, against people who still are very much openly oppressed to this day, openly seen as an "acceptable target" and at risk of another extermination campaign in europe and who nobody, not even they themselves, advocate for an ethnosate let alone at the expense of other racialized or colonized peoples who played 0 role in their oppression. That makes zionism and all it's defendants more detestable. Not surprising considering even holocaust memorial orgs (most of them financed by wealthy zionists) are erasing all the non-jewish victims such as those mentioned including socialists, soviets, poles, black people etc...
