Honestly, I'm not willing to credit anyone involved with that level of coordination and foresight. Especially not when short term profit and raw greed are more than enough to explain current actions.

Yep, the market is chocking full of old games and indie devs make new games that run on potatoes, games that are really fun to play. I don't care about the latest hardware anymore. This kind of "strategy" assumes everyone wants the latest tech and only AAA games.
