Is this written by an LLM? Because whenever I hear "it's not just this, it's that" now, I think LLM.
Nothing says, "I don't give a shit about you," like asking an LLM to respond for you. It's all just so over the giving top, it beggars belief.
I was talking to this woman I was interested in. I related to her a mini existential crisis I was having because of climate change. She used AI to summarize why I shouldn't be so worried, and sent it to me. I just stared blankly at the obviously AI driven text for minutes before asking, "Did you... Did you come up with all that off the top of your head?"
mind boggling.
This is 100% percent written by an LLM.
I just don't believe any human would put out a statement with an em dash in 2026. It's the thing

My hyperbolic analogy is a swastika. Sure, the swastika had been in use for 10,000 years before Germany existed....but a company probably isn't putting one on their letter head in 2026.

to an untrained eye who hasn't read anything but internet posts, sure, but people use them in other places and that still carries on into internet prose sometimes.

It's not the 2010s anymore, we've had LLMs posting slop for years now. Use your favorite search engine and tell me what the top result says. Probably the same as the Wikipedia page. Search your work email, there's a good chance you got the same tips from HR.
Knowing what it looks like isn't as niche as you're implying. And in the context of a public statement from a media company, an em dash SHOULD raise an eyebrow in 2026. Unless you think a human wrote this.
You will have to pry the em—dash from my cold, dead fingers. AI may take my job, but I will damned if it takes the em—dash from me.
