Some of the most popular games have been shit like League of Legends.
Nobody wins playing that shit, you just lose, the more you play it the more you lose.
At the same time Minecraft is a game where you literally have cheats built in with easy access, so that everyone can win.
Then you have shit like Peth of Exile which is for neurodivergent people, because they know we all broke so it's free, but they milk liberals to fund the project for everyone.
For some reason I also think Trotsky would be a PoE addict
while Lenin would be Minecraft enjoyer and I imagine average lol player to be Mussolini
minecraft blew up before it even had the gamey stuff in it. it was just a digital bucket of lego for years
It was better when it was just a digital bucket of lego
It made me feel so old when I booted up a pirated copy of Minecraft for the first time in years (Microsoft stole my legitimately purchased account) and was overwhelmed by all the additions. I used to just dig a big hole & use those materials to build a castle, rinse and repeat until I had a few bases to build rail network around. The last time I played was right around when they added the end so I ended up completely lost in all the new stuff. Maybe it makes sense if you played consistently & got drip fed the updates but there was just so much to do
I always play heavily tech modded outdated versions and ignore all the "adventure" stuff.
A while ago, I played the vanilla switch version with my friend's kid and I kept going "oh they have that in vanilla now"
Which is also partially owned by Tencent, which had liberals panicking. Anyway PoE is great.
Critical support I guess...?
